A number of schools have been constructed using a building material called Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). This concrete has a lifespan of around 30 years and can become unsafe, causing significant risks to the structure of the building.
It has emerged that there are schools in Bolton which were built using this concrete.
