Voters in Tunisia’s referendum on Monday backed a new constitution giving President Kais Saied greater powers, with 92.3% voting “yes,” according to a Sigma Conseil exit poll issued by state TV.
Shortly after the exit poll was released, Tunisia’s Electoral Commission confirmed the turnout was just 27.54% after opposition parties boycotted the ballot in protest.
