Trade union branch to protest at Tory conference over focus on "greedy" not "needy"

Members of the Bolton branch of Unison will be travelling down to Birmingham this weekend to protest against actions of the government at the Conservative Party conference.

Unison represents mainly public sector workers in local government, health and education.

The demands of the Bolton branch include an end to fuel poverty, controls on gas an energy costs as well as measures to tackle the cost of living and food prices.
