Takeaway branded ‘town centre’s most violent spot’ faces licence review

A town centre takeaway faces a review of its licence after police were called to a catalogue of violent incidents.

A customer attacked men with a wooden plank on one occasion and there was a “potentially fatal” incident where a man was threatened with a broken bottle.

Shah’s Pizza on Bradshawgate has been at the centre of what Greater Manchester Police describe as “unacceptable levels of crime and disorder” in recent months.
