Substantial discrepancies found between estimated and measured GFR

A cross sectional study found that substantial discrepancies exist between individual estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and directly measured GFR (mGFR). Laboratory reports that provide eGFR calculations should consider including the distribution of this uncertainty.
