For the second year in a row at the Chicago Street Course, it was Shane van Gisbergen who made the the winning move late in the race.
After leading early and winning Stage 1, van Gisbergen was set behind the eight-ball due to varying pit strategies. However, the driver of the No. 97 Chevrolet Camaro battled back, eventually making his way to second place with three laps to go.
