About 8,000 civilians remain in occupied Sievierodonetsk and about 10,000 remain in newly occupied Lysychansk, according to Serhai Haidai, Ukraine’s governor of Luhansk.
In a status update to Telegram, Haidai said “we maintain the defence of a small part of Luhansk region so that our military has time to build defences.”
