Reshuffle at council top table as role leading ‘tough policy area’ changes hands

Cllr Linda Thomas, who has served as both Mayor and leader of the council, is to step down from her role as cabinet member for adults, health and wellbeing.

She will be replaced by Cllr Sean Fielding, the former leader of Oldham Council who was elected to represent Breightmet last May.
