Mosque plans to refurbish former mill building to allow functions and community use

Plans have been submitted in the past few days to partially demolish and refurbish Prospect Street Mill in Bolton.

The building, just north of the town centre and close to Blackburn Road, Halliwell, is next to the Masjid-e-Noorul Islam Bolton mosque.

The building is the last remaining part of the Prospect Mill complex where the original textile mill was built in 1864. In 1877 mill No 2 was built followed by mill No 3 in 1890.
