The Market Hall with all the individually-owned, specialist shops was brilliant! Instead the council changed it all and attracted major retailers like Debenham’s, Zara and H&M who couldn’t make it work so eventually left.
Why did it not work? Because the same councillors upheld the town’s parking charges.
