ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and ex-foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will be indicted on October 17 in the cipher case, marking the start of the trial, a special court announced Monday.
Imran, now in jail in the case, is accused of leaking state secrets while leading his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government along with Qureshi, also the party’s vice-chief. The case was brought about by the previous Shehbaz Sharif-led government.
