Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney hit out at Prime Minister Boris Johnson as she made a defiant speech during Trans+ Pride in London on Saturday following his resignation.

The actress, 18 – who plays Elle Argent in the Netflix series and who is set to appear in Doctor Who – addressed the crowd, insisting: ‘If the government is trying to eradicate us, we’re all here, and we’re just duplicating, look at how many of us there are,’ before adding: ‘Boris, bye! Bye!’
