Dodgers starter undergoes season-ending UCL surgery

The Los Angeles

starting pitcher Emmet Sheehan underwent season-ending UCL surgery on his right elbow. 

The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. 

Sheehan has been on the injured list all season after experiencing shoulder soreness. He was favored to be the fifth starter in the rotation but went on the shelf on March 9 and hasn’t pitched since.
