Council to spend £164,000 on year-long equal pay audit

The review has been order by Blackburn with Darwen Council finance and governance boss Cllr Vicky McGurk and chief executive Denise Park.

It follows legal challenges on the issue to several other local authorities across the UK over historically unequal wage levels, one of which helped force Birmingham City Council into effective bankruptcy.
