“Bins not collected since July – and the council blamed me for it”

Shoyab Patel, who lives on Chorley New Road, was left with an overflowing beige bin since July – which was collected on the day The Bolton New contacted Bolton Council. 

He said he made a number of complaints about his bin being left uncollected.

Major changes were rolled out earlier this year including cutting paper and cardboard “beige bin” collections from every two weeks to every four weeks.
