Bolton Council is set to mark the death of the Queen by involving the public in a number of ways as the nation begins a period of mourning.
Flags are being flown at half-mast until the morning after the funeral at all civic buildings in Bolton.
Books of condolence will be opened for members of the public to pay their respects with the mayor of Bolton, Cllr Akhtar Zaman, expected to be the first person to sign it.
