MARKET LIVE: Sensex, Nifty50 flat in trade; IT, Media stocks sizzle

Markets wiped off opening gains and turned volatile in Friday’s intra-day trade amid weak global cues. Frontline indices Nifty50 continued to trade above 17,950 levels, whereas the S&P BSE Sensex was flat at 60,317 levels.

Broader markets, meanwhile, outperformed benchmark indices as Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 surged up to 0.5 per cent.
