Tiger Woods finishes rough first round at British Open six strokes over par

Tiger Woods found the water on the first hole to begin his day Thursday at the 2022 British Open and never managed to find a rhythm. He finished his first round six strokes over par and sits near the bottom of the tournament leaderboard.

Woods, 46, hit three birdies Thursday, but those holes were offset by five bogeys and two double bogeys. On the first hole, his tee shot landed in a fairway divot and his second shot
