Colorado boom under Deion draws in Black fans

One of Trevon Hamlet’s core memories from attending Colorado is living on campus his freshman year and being able to count on one hand how many Black people he would see in a day.

Hamlet, who played lacrosse at Colorado from 2014 to 2019 and still lives in the area, was the only Black person on his team in a school where African American students made up less than 2% of the population.
