6.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Canada

A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Tofino, Canada, on Thursday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said. The quake struck at a depth of 8 km (4.97 miles), USGS said.
The epicenter of the quake was around 130 miles from Tofino, a small district on Vancouver Island in the Pacific Ocean off Canada’s west coast, according to the S Geological Survey.Tofino is around 130 miles west of Vancouver.
